Description
This course guides students and faculty in developing a culture focused on preparing for life beyond college through faith. It covers finding a supportive faith community, integrating faith with work, and practicing stewardship of resources. Participants will learn to introduce key conversations on faith and vocation early on, not just near graduation. The course provides practical skills for handling adult responsibilities such as budgeting, managing work-life balance, and understanding various life stages. By the end, learners will be equipped to foster spiritual growth and involvement in mission and ministry beyond their academic environment.
Learning Objectives
- Learn how to prepare your students and faculty for their experience with Christian community outside of InterVarsity by creating a culture of equipping for the future.
- Understand the components of a healthy culture that equips for the future.
- Understand how to assess one's major/department/field of study/job/etc through a biblical worldview.
- Articulate the significance of faith-work integration.
- Understand the significance of starting these conversations early with your students, not just waiting for their graduation to start thinking about it.
- Learn practical ways to help deal with adulting in: money matters and budgeting, work-life balance, and stages of life.
